Many parents, grandparents, and friends inquire about how to purchase a birthday book. Hopefully this page on our Elmore Library Pathfinder will make the process a bit easier.

A birthday book is a book that is purchased for Elmore Library in honor of someone's birthday and becomes part of our circulating collection. The person for whom the book is purchased in honor of becomes the first person to check the book out from Elmore. If you need a suggestion for a book I have attached lists of books that we would like to have in our collection, but currently do not. They may also be books that need to be replaced because they have been so loved over the years. You can choose from either list and email me the one you would like to buy for the library so I can remove it from the list. We are open to book suggestions from you and are always looking for newly published books, so if you have a book in mind that you would like to purchase email me that title and I'll let you know if we already have it or perhaps need another copy. My email address is bcoyne@thecountryschool.org.

I hope you will find the lists easy to read. They are in alphabetical order by title. They include the author's name, publisher, and a brief summary. In some cases I was able to include IL (interest level) and RL (reading level) to help you decide if it's right for your child. Most people find it easiest to order the book through your favorite book seller and deliver it to Elmore Library. Be sure to put a note in there indicating the honored person's name. If you would rather I order the book and have the school bill you that can also be arranged. Don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions.

Thank you for your support of Elmore Library.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Coyne
